There were many interesting videos and lectures presented during ‘the two-day event. Two videos were presented, “The World of Pure Mathematics” and “The Age of Intelligent Machines”. Profes- sor Ivan Dowling made a pre- sentation on what Prime Num- bers are, while the team of Profes- sors Wayne Cutcliffe and Stephen Howard presented an ezplaina- tion of what is involved in making a computer program. Professor Patrice Sawyer presented what a person’s chances are in a lottery, while Professor Lowell Sweet gave a talk on whether or not there could possibly be a proof to Fer- met’s Last Theorem. The Math and CS Society would like to thank all the profes- sors and students who took time out of their busy schedules to make this the success it was, and, most of all, they would like to thank all the people who were in- terested enough to visit main floor of Memorial building to see what we had to offer.
