Because the place ii boy- called home
in a Southern city was a resort foi
immoral purposes, the boy got the

accepted the invitation of a saloor
keeper to sleep behind the bar. He

retary in charge of the Y. M. (1. A.
Street Boys' Club, found out about
the case. He interested 'a group oi
ladies, and now in a house opposite
the club, three bedrooms are neatly
furnished, to be occupied temporarily
by any boy in that city who has no
place to lay his head.

Day” in Massachusetts and Rhode Is-
land. The preachers preached about
him, parents encouraged him, busi-
ness men helped him and lie was help-
ed to realize himself. Eleven cam-
paigns were pushed for money to he
dividedamong local, state, Interna
tional and foreign agencies of the Y.
M. C. A. Every campaign was start'
ed from the state ollice by wire, tr
which returns were made at noon.

manufacturing plants, the hardware,
grocery, shoe and clothing clerks.-

and lawyers. The factory men car
ried off the city championship. Thf
week following the games, a mem
bership -campaign wus pushed through
for 500 members, of which half are
factory men. The campaign develop-
ed the fact that many worthy poor
boys were unable to join the associii
tion on account of financial reasons

who had all joined the association
They proposed that a game of indoor
baseball in masquerade uniform be
played between them and the lawyers
in order to establish a permanent
fund to be loaned the boys who are
in school in order that they may join
the association, and during the suni-
