Continued from page 1 Discuss Canadian Another matter that brought forth considerable discussion was the age at which a plowman would be eligible to compete in Canadian championship classes. This matter had been discussed with Plowing Associations in Brit- ish Columbia. Manitoba. Ontario and New Brunswick. and the opinion was that a contestant must have passed his Nth birth- day to be eligible for the Cana- dian championship classes. ltlwas felt that a person younger than this would not be mature enough to take part in world plowing matches. This matter was fully discussed at the meeting and the group agreed that this age limit should be adhered to. The first meeting of the Pro- visional Directors will be held at the time of the Canadian cham- pionship eliininations at the On- tario Plowing Matches this fall. The matter of membership fees to be collected by the Council was discussed at some length. but it was felt that matters of this kind would have to be dealt with at the first directors" meet- ing. At the close of the meeting I hearty vote of thanks was ex- 1ended to Mr. McKinney for com- ing to the Province and present- ing the objectives of the Canadian Council of Plowing Associations. Mr. McKinney was accompanied by Mr. Carver and Mr. Wilson of the Imperial Oil Company. and they were leaving the Province the following morning MISIIIQGT with representatives of the plow- ing Associations in Nova Scotia. &m c lliding with another tanker.
