POLICE COURT NEWS.-Af. the Charlottetown Police Court yester- day morning the case of Prosecutor Allan Bolsner vs. Robt. Stanley charged with a violation of the pro- hibition act. resulted in ‘an adjourn- ‘ment until Saturday morning. There was considerable discussion in this case as to who owned the beer, two kegs of which was found in a yard. One Witness swore that he saw the beer being ta-neu into the yard late one evening. Another said, when the officers found it, that the beer was his. After the officers seized the hear he claimed that it did not be- long to him. The matter to settle seems to be, on whose property was the _beer found. Another case, that 0! Joseph Carr ,charged with bein, disorderly and fighting on the stree: was adjourned till the 18th in order to obtain the evidence of a very ma, terial witness. Wm. Carr and John Conway appeared for lighting on the street and ended in the case being dismissed. _WEDDING LAST EVENING.-'rho homo of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Low- ther. The bride looked charming gowned in white satin de chene with lace and ribbon trimming and wore the con- ventronal veil and orange blossoms Rnd Cflfried ,a bouquet of flowers and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Etta Newsom, Searletown, was dressed in cream n\|n's veiling trim- med with satin. The groom was ably supported by Boyd Lowther, .brother of the bride. The bridal par ty stood under an arch of evergreen: supporting a beautiful floral bell. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. M. Young of Tryon. Alter Lhe ceremony the guests about seven- ty in number, repaired to the dining room where a sumptuous repast was served in Mrs. Lowther’s best style. The groom’s"gift to the bride was an elegant pendant and to the brides- maid a ring set with pearls The presents, beautiful and costly, included silver and out glass and several checks, testifying to the esteem in which the bride and groom are held. A large crowd of charivaris came to pay their re- spects to the happy couple and were hospitably and happily received.
