On the way down, the latter ordered a very nice breakfast for himself, but through some misunderstand- ing the meal was placed by the waiter in front of Mr. Berrie, instead of the bishop. The former, thinking that was the way the ©. P. R. treated their passengers, asked no questions, but at once set himself to dispose of the repast. He had proceeded pretty well, when the waiter discovered his mistake. He hastened to where Mr. Berrie was seated and explained how mat- ters stood, but the explanation came too late, as nearly all the toothsume viands that the bishop had ordered had disappear- ed down the Methodist clergyman’s throat.
