F-1 ~ ST. JOHN TELEGRAPH. The Charlottetown Guardian has issued a hand- soniely illustrated magazine section containing inter- esting and valuable material collected for a supplement which the Guardian had planned to send out in connection with the proposed celebration of the jubilee of Confederation, arrangements for which were abandoned on account of the war. As the ptiblicity matter in hand was so complete it was thought a pity to allow it to go to waste, so the idea was conceived of presenting it in the form of a souv- enir number. lt includes cuts of leading men of the Island, and good views of cities and other points of interest in the Province. Instructive references are made to the Silver Fox industry which is so closely associated with Island foresight and energyi The fa_pt is mentioned that l"rince Iidward Island, tiougi t e smallest Province in Canada, has the distinction of being the most prosperous, and particular reference is made to the 1sland’s health and tourist resorts. Alto- gether thc special number is highly creditable to the tiuardian_ and to l‘rincc Iidward Island.-St. _Iohn _Q_ - ST.
