Thanksgiving tea given to the in mates of the poor house for the last fifteen years. On Christmas each inmate hnd ii. pound box of candy and B. card per- sonnlly addressed. Three loads of coal and coke, flour, sugar, tea and other groceries were distributed, while six fiimilies whose homes had been devastat- ed by drink, were provided with whole dinners and the children with toys, candy and clothing. One drunkard's boy was provided with everything and sent to school for the year where he did good work. He has new been adopted by a couple without children, and will be tnken into a refined wealthy home. We hope in such cnviron ments that he miiy beconic ri good man. Think what that menus in the long future. _ Some literature has been distributed, nnd many flowers have helped to relieve the wearlness otlife, with their message of glory and sweetness. Twenty-two meetings have been held one parlor social, _one on narcot ics,one on patent. medicines and nine mothcr’s meetings.
