Summerside Boy Recovering From Serious injury A serious accident occurred in Summerside on Sunday afternoon when Renfor (Red) MacDonald. son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mac- Donald. King St.. Summcrside. VJCIS accidenily struck on the temple by a baseball during a short practice session with sever- al of his friends. At the time of the iniury it did not appear serious and he was able to walk to his liome. l-lis condition gradually became grave. however. and he was removed to the Prince County Hospital. Follovizing a brief recovery on Monday. he again became. worse and it was discovered that he suffered from a serious brain in- jury. As hope for his recovery waned. a very delicate operation was performed on him by the well- known brain surgeon. Dr. William D. Stevenson of the Victoria Gen- eral Hospital. Halifax, who flew to Summerside. Dr. A. R. Grant stated yester- day that the boy's condition is much improved and it is believed his recovery is practically assur- ed. .
