It has also been reported that trout are being netted in the by-pass of the Jordan pond, better known as the old mill stream. Trout spawn has even been found near by and is believed to have fallen from the not used for poaching. Trout are not fit for human consumption at spawnimz time in the late fall. and no doubt a search will be iniide of the entire grounds. The dredge that had been work- ing at Red Head shore after com- ing back here from Rustico, has been taken up the river for the winter months and hauled up on the short bank. The work of fit- ting the ship yfor another season will take several months and it is generally about July before she is ready to start the season's work. A crew of C. N.
