Wright, Contractor, met with a severe
and dangerous accident while bathing
at the Railway Wharf, yesterday af-
ternoon about t'1ree o’clock. He and
of the cars standing on the track in
order to obtain a bigger jump, by
diving from off the top of the
cars. In making a runaeross the top
of a car prepalntory td* jumping into
the water, Wright’s foot slipped back-
wards and he failed to clear the wharf
in his headlong plunge, but struck 'on
less, bleeding atthe month and nose.
Dr. Kelly was quickly summoned and
tooktheynnngman home in his car-
riage. Wright regained consciousness
ported doing as well as could be ex-
pected.
