Mrs. Macsrwain has been hospitalized for some time and her many friends are pleased to see her health im- Mr. Cecil MacNeill was a visitor to Montague on April 18. A number of enthusiastic anglers from this vicinity started out bright and early Thursday mom- ing. for their favorite fishing grounds_ some returned home well pleased with their catch. 's\'hllP others not so fortunate were a bit disappointed. but not discouraged becaused they are going again, hoping for better luck next time. Card parties were the order of the evening, in this district. dur- ing the past few months. Some folk whiled away the hours play- ing took. some played auction while others enjoyed the lively game of pit. Mr. Kelly. who was 6'! years, operated the Moreli meat market for many years. and had followed store business from boyhood days. He leaves a wife and family. The family are all grown up. Mrs. Kelly yes the former Miss Fieehan of Mount Stewart. The passing of Mr. Kelly leave a vac- ancy that will be hard to fill in this vicinity. The news of the death in Hospi- tal after a long illnus of Right Rev. Alfred A. Sinnoti. retired Arch- bishop of Winnipeg. was received at the parish residence here early memory and ii monument to his memory. The late Archbishop vis- ited here last summer and It that time had plans for the re-purchase of the old farm home and mighty house as a home for retired clergy. That plan was to be fulfilled this summer when he would be back but now. like his dreams of other days. has gone with him to eternity. The Archbishop was not born in Bristol, but came here as a boy with his parents and some of his old school pals are still here and in the city. He called on them on his last two visits in 1952 and 1953. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence O'Brien left Friday for their home in Hyde Park. Mass. after a short visi' here on a sad mission to attend the funeral of Mr. .Olf3i'ien‘s mother. the late Mrs. James P. O'Brien, on tel. is much improved.
