I., as ll I`€S1l1f- 01 Whiffh Edivarrl Sclllck of that place is still undergoing treat- ment for his injuries. Mr Sellick and Samuel and Reuben Good of Frederic- ton were felling trees in a wood and cut down a large sized tree. ln full- ing this tree carried down two thirty foot l-im-bs off another very large tree near by one of which struck. Reuben Good and the other hit Mr Sellick. Both men were rendered un- conscious by tllie force of t-he falling limbs. Samuel Good, who was stand- ing near by escaped practically un- injured. Reuben Good regained con- sciousness in about five minutes but 'lgr Sel-lick was evidently very 'nad- l hurt, he was removed to John A. Cui5lifl6's store, in F‘i'cderictbii, and didanot recover consciousness un- til ten hours ha-d elapseil ‘froui the time of the accident. On thc arrival of the patient at Mr Cutlifle's a doc- tor was summoned and thchest of medical skill was brought into use in the attempt to bring the sufferer tio consciousness. For twenty-four hours the doctor, worked wit-h Mr Sellick and he found the patient'n head badly injured, there being a very deep and painful wound ou tb-c skull. The kindness of the liroprie- tor of the silare who for three days personally, attended to the wants of Mr Sellick was characteristic of the man and his hospitality on such an occasion was--certainly apprcciatl”rl. Mr Sellick will be all right again, but his wounds are severe ones and will likely be quite a whilc healing. Mr Good is none the worse for his share in the accident, the blow that rendered him temporarily incspiirlil-c having cut his head ncsr the eye withoutr inflicting any serious wounds.
