Nova Scotia Elections. Hartrax, May 22 Later returns of the election show that C. H. Cahan (oppe sition) has defeated Me- Coy in Shelbourne by eight votes, and is only 11 behind Hon. Thomas Jol member of the Government. Both Law- rence and Clarke, Government caudidates, are elected in Colchester by majorities of less than fifty. Both Government men are elected in Inverness. The village of St. Maplen, near Hildes- heim, was recently visited by a severe hail- storm, which did a great deal of damage.
