Island Baptist Conference embracing all churches in the Province held a session yesterday in the Baptist Church at Marsbheld, This church is connected with Cavendish Baptist Church of which Rev. A. E. Hooper has been pastor for the last year. Mr. Hooper how- ever has lately resigned and it is expected that Rev. C. Jackson now in Yale University will return and take up the work. Y., June 8.-Foresia crawled out of her crib in her parents home and began playing wiii a lighted lamp standing nearby. Suddenly the lamp was upset and the burning oil was scatterei over the child. Her mother was aroused and in an 'endeavor to put out the flames 'was badly burned. The child was removed to the homeopathic hospital and died in great agony, about an hour after the accident.
