MucKay on Thursday the fourteenth when fifteen mem- bcrs responded to the Roll Coll with new year resolutions. The first item of business was the con- sideration of the purchase of knives and forks for the use of the Institute, which purchase was highly approved of and left to thc committee in charge. A letter of appreciation from bereaved mem- bers, who had received resolutions of sympathy, was then read. Re- ports from different committees were received The topic "New Activities for Our Institute" was thoroughly discussed and n. pro- gressive step taken in the plann- ing of s bazaar and a valentine supper- more definite plans to follow st the next meeting. The programme which followed con- sisted of readings by Miss Margar- et Pickering, Mrs. Earle MacKny and Mrs. John A. Coulson. These were interspersed with flower and cake contests.
