AFTERNOON, The place of the half-hour’s devotional meeting was supplied by a Bible training class, couducted by ere Secretary McLeod, Dustin, of St. John, and McDonald, of New SATURDAY Glasgow. Much interest was manifested by the audience in, the exercises of the class, especially in the modes of dealing with anxious enquirers. At the close of the meet- ing the President called the convention to order, and the audience joined in singing : “ Rock of Ages.” after which D. Mc tregor, of Halifax, read the | Scripture and engaged in prayer. Atter routine business the question of the next place of meeting was taken up. Invita- tions were received from Amherst, New Glasgow and Windsor. After a_ brief discus- sion and a moment's silent prayer, it was unanimously decided that as far as the von- vention could now see they preferred Windsor, but agreed to leave it in the hands of the executive committee, making the suggestion that if nothing unforseen had occurred Wind- sor be the next place of meeting. The subject of the executive committee's report was then resumed, and subscriptions were increased to $852, upon which the whole matter was referred to the executive come mittee to retain the services of Mr. McLeod travelling agent, for as long a period as the fundswill allow. Reports were handed in from various associations, some showing marked progress, others stationary and a few retro- grading, when the hour of adjournment heving arrived the meeting closed with the Doxology. SUNDAY’S MEETING, —FAREWELL. Meetings on Sunday were very largely attended. A verywarm interest was displayed by the citizens ana the inhabitants of the surrounding country. The morning devo- tional meeting, held in the Methodist Church, at 7 a.m., wasa good meeting—many of the delegates taking part. The consecration meeting in the Presbyterian Church, at 9 a. m.. led by George McDonald, of New Glas- gaw, was well attended, the Church being well tilled. Meetinys held in the afternoon, in the Market Hall, for wen only, and in the Presbyterian Church, for ladies, and in the Methodist Chur for boys were all well : ied. A. W.
