He was born in the village of Victoria. Prnce Edward Island. October 10. 1910. the only child of James Knox and his wife Miss Mary Jackman, who passed away when John was just a very young lad. . He grew up to yol-ml mall-h00d possessed of a fine personality of honesty and uprightness. and in the home was one of the most dutiful of sons. and a loving and de- voted husband. father. His funeral which was held on July 19. at Victoria United Church it as largely attended by sorrowing ielatives and fricnds who had Come to pay a last tribute of respect to one who was held in Very high esteem.
