Duffy, 68, occurred at his home on Hawthorne Ave. Charlottetown, early yesterday morning. The late Mr. Duffy was born at Fort Augustus on November 28th, i878. He entered the service of the Charlottetown Post Office on March 13. 1913. Commencing as Junior clerk, the late Mr. Duffy did all phases of the work in the Charlottetown Post Office. At the time of his retirement, July 1, i946‘ he was in charge of the Money Order Branch. During his long postal service, he was a com- petent and genial official and won Issued by the authority at the Hon. Ernest Bertrand, K.C., M.P., Postmaster General. for himself a host of friends. The late Mr. Duffy was a mem- ber of the Charlottetown Council of the Knights of colum-bus and the Benevolent Irish society. Witli the Knights of Columbus, he has held many offices, among which was that of Grand Knight. Mr. Duffy is survived by his widow. A sister is expected home from the United States for the funeral.
