PROVISIONAL DIRECTORS Lemuel Ezra Prowse, of Sydney, N. 5- 4 ¢ ang' \r_ I /. \l /r \n_/ `\n_ ¢ Benjamin Charles Prowse. of Charlottetown. 1 Edward Chandler, of Charlottetown. 5 5 Z ? i TA ? Y I \ _\ Albert William Mitchell. ,/u, ° The Company of Prowse Bros, Limited, is being formed for the purpose of carrying on a General Merchandise Business in Charlottetown and Sydney, also a Lumber and Milling Business in Souris, P: E. I. For this purpose the Company purpose taking over the splendid business, The Goodwill, and the Property of the well known Firms of PROWSB BROS., and PRo\vsE BROS. & Co., at their fair market value, and to continue the business in the most approved manner. It is also purposed to enlarge the present business, taking in other lines such as Boots and Shoes, Etc. To do this it is necessary to secure more capital, and it has been decided to do so in the only manner thoroughly approved by the business world--namely, forming a joint Stock Company, with Limited Liability. This has been done, and, in order to have as many as possible of our customers interestedin the Company, we purpose to sell Two Hundred and Fifty Shares of Stock in small lots at $rco per share, to Farmers and others through- out the Island, believing that all such shareholders will be standing advertise ments for the Company, and do all in their power to help the business in every way. As soon as these shares have been sold, a meeting of all the share- holders will be called and Directors elected, Bye Laws enacted and the Company- Organization completed. It is also purposed to pay 6 Per Cent Interest per annum on all shares, so sold in. P. E. Island, and that the Provisional Directors will buy these shares back at the end of live years from date of issue at $105 per share;this is intended to equal an annual interest on the investment at the rate of 7 per cent. per annum for 5 years. The Business which the Company i: taking over is one of the best, if not the very best, paying businesses in P. E. Island tc-day, and is increasing every year by large amounts. This is no doubt a gilt edged investment for the`share- holders. V The management of the business will be in the hands `of the present managers who have built up the business to its present magnificent proportions. It is also proposed that after the payment of 6 per cent. per annum on all shares of the Company, the balance of the net Earnings shall be transferred to a reserve or rest account. ' The Dividends for tive years at the rate of 6 per cent. are guaranteed by the Provisional Directors, L. E. Prowse, B, C. Prowse, and Edward Chandler. Applications for shares can be made through our agents or personally at the head office of the Comapny. Shares are not transferable, except at the I. \r f. -» -r sem, I :/:)". \\. ,/‘ ‘\__4 \ \ / . \ `\ . \,» , /r \'~ t I , r \~~ /, ,_ /. \, " /f \`, 1 /` \ " t //_Q H head otllce of the company, and by consent of the Directors. , \, X, Ladies’ Dent- All Gloves x-4 off. The reduction is sweeping-reason-we must convert all the goods possible into cash before we turn the business over tothe new company. It’s good level headed busi~ sess to do so-even though we may lose a little by it. Not a thing has been disturbed, the tag on each article tell its own story-Seeing is believing:-tlierefore the only thing to do in to come and see. The Proof-If we cannot make good the claim that we arc now selling better goods at lowcr prices than anyone else in town you can say “Good-day” and walk out. We niean business, put us to the test.
