Summenide oddfellows are mak- ing extensive preparations ior en- tertaining the visiting membcrs,i estimated to number some 300. 5 In a foreword to the published‘ programme of the conventions, Grand Master A. O. F. Gill ex-, tends internal greetings and re- calls that when the sessions of Grand Lodge were last held in; Summerside in 1892 the ‘ atlon was a mere infant, compris- ing some fifty-one Lodges. At that time the Grand Encampment of this jurisdiction was instituted and the first session held, The Re- bekah Assembly was only a dream " It that time, being instituted eleven years later. During the intervening years, rapid progress has been made, un- til today the number belonging to the Order in this Jurisdiction (comprising the Provinces of Nova Scotia._ New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and the Dominion of Newfoundland) is more than eleven times that which claimed membership in 1892.
