Still only in the planning stage. and subject to many changes. it is understood that the proposed bridge will be considerably wider than the present one which is a traffic bottleneck in the centre of the town. It has been estimated that there is more traffic over this bridge than any other of the same size in the province, and it would seem so. as there is usually one or two cars waiting at one end while another is crossing. The proposed plan indicates a raised level approach at. the south end which would begin below the Town Hall and continue on a. slight grade to the present north ap- proach. The present plan of the bridge itself indicates Lhree piers, one at each end. and one at the centre. with steel arches spanning the lnterventng spares. There is also a wide roadway, and a walk on either side. However. this is only a proposed plan at present, and may be .su!)iect to many changes befoi'c the, bridge is built Mdrrdy Harbor North and Vicinity Lcveroii Gra- ..'Mr. and Mrs. ham who have hocn visiting at Murray Harbour North for the past two weeks, guests of Mr. Graham's mother, Mrs, David Mil- lar. have returned to their home in Dartmouth, N. High wind preceded the storm, which came from the north welt, then a minute of calm. followed suddenly by a cloud burst with a revival of a very strong wind. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled for many minutes before the storm centre passed to the south east, leaving behind an area flowing with excess water.
