' Annual Meeting W0men’s Auxiliary St. Paul's Church senior branches of the Women's Auxiliary held their annual meetings during the past week. Branch B met on Tuesday with Mrs. Noel DeBlols, President, in the choir. After Bible reading and prayer, encouraging reports of the year's work were given by the of- ficers. Last winter the members worked on an outfit for one of the Indian children attending the Res- idential Schol at Orion Lake, Sask. This outfit, a number of Christ- mas gifts, and a. quantity of can- ned goods, were packed and shipped in April. The Branch packed and has been able to meet its financial obligations and has a. small balance with which to purchase materials to start another outfit when meet- ings resume in January. Mrs. DeBlois was re-electcd Pres- ident. Mrs. Bell, one of our new, but very energetic workers, was el- ected lst Vice President. All other officers were re-eiected. Mrs. Ray- mond, honorary president oi the Branch, spoke a few words of en- couragement, and urged the mem- bers to keep before them, at all meetings, the aims of the Women's Auxiliary. To take a little while at each meeting for mission study and make daily use of the members‘ prayer. To remember as we sew on the garments, that they will be the means of making it possible for a child to attend school and ai- so to hear more about our Saviour. Branch A met on Thursday with Miss McCallum, President, in the chair. Branch A also had a very active and successful year, and an optimistic spirit prevailed in all re- ports. Miss C. Hashim, the faith- ful and capable treasurer, was un- able to be present and a message of greeting was sent to her. Reference was made to several faithful work- ers who have passed to higher ser- vice. The Branch completed a splendid outfit for a child in the MacKay School, and also sent a large box of canned goods. A number of knitted articles were made and scnt to the Rev. C. Palmer, Palampur, India, for the use of the iepers. Miss Mccalium said she hoped some of the members of both branches would make gifts of soar- ves and work-bags, to send the teachers and pupils of ‘the school at the Kangra mission, India. Miss A. DeBlois will take these when she returns to Kangre. next year. All officers of Branch A were re- elected. Miss McCallum gave a short ad- dress, during which she said she felt there is a call to the women of today to make a stand for the right. Women must come forward and give leadership and do their part as they did during the war. Miss MeCallunrs talks are always most helpful and much appreciated. The Girl's Auxiliary re-organised on ‘Iliesday eveninfl. 8nd hope to resume meetings the second week in January. Although only a small band of workers, they completed a splmdid outfit last winter.
