The Cadre + 3 November 1998 Barber Shop Talk Well, everything around here at UPEI remains the same into November. The parking — Lf situation stills sucks and the Pit’s prices are still way too high. Did you know that to get from the depths of the MacAdam field parking lot (where most have to park if they have a class after 10a.m.), to the KCI building is 0.7kms? We pay big bucks to park here, and we are forced to march for ten minutes from the far reaches of the campus. Just think how frickin’ cold it's gonna be come January, having to walk all that distance in sub- zero temperatures. Not to mention that this place must be the coldest on PEI. Why did they remove the good parking spots and cover them with grass? Why did they do this to us? Don’t they care? Why don’t they make a new parking lot between Bernadine Hall and Blanchard? About the Pit, I received an e-mail from a fellow student who shares my concerns toward the ee prices of everything they sell. It has been brought to my attention that chocolate milk costs $1.93 for 500 ml. I think this Chocolate Milk must come from the Golden Cow on top of Mount Herbert or something. One dollar and ninety-three cents for milk. You could buy two liters of it at a grocery store for a mere 30 cents more. In effect, the food and drink at the Pit is breaking the banks of hungry students at UPEI and we are getting sick of it. Last but not least I would like to comment upon the most annoying thing known to Islanders. It can be heard everyday and everynight. What I'm talking about is that damn radio voice we all hear on Magic 93. “Want a Better Mix? Call Betty Crocker!” Betty Crocker? what kind of catch phrase is that. You could get a better mix froma frickin’ cement truck. Is anybody else sick of Steve Wynwood? What about “More Hits than the World Wide Web?” I'm not even going to get into this one.
