Support of the dairying, hog raising and other branches of mixed farming and a Practical Policy of soil analysis in co-operation with the Federal Depart- ment of Agriculture, with a view of determining the fertilizer requirements of the land. 8. Continuation of the fight for lower freight rates on farm products and the extension of the policy of freight rates assistance on ground lime throughout the entire year and also assistance to farmers in the purchase of lime. i. 24 New Road Act will be introduced using the school district as a uniti greater attention to the re- pair and upkeep of the ordinary roads of the Province‘ and a return to our policy of using local pit and slwre gravel; a proper system of maintenance conservation and drainage of hard surfaced roads; further exten- sion of hard surfaced roads and gravelled roads as the finances of the Province warrant. 10. Continued Public Health Activity and assistance in establishing young physicians in country districts where there is no resident physician. II. Fishermen’s Relief will be given where necessary under proper supervision; Fisherman's Loans will be put on a proper business basis. A real effort will be made to secure better markets for fish. Investigation into the possibility of establishing plants for the man- ufacture of fish meal and other fish products. l2. Having in 1935 established our claims against the Dominion Government to the extent of three million dollars, giving this Province an increased subsidy of $150,000 annually, we will continue to press for a full realization of our claims on the basis of the nsinority report of the White Commission.
