April u-(specia.l)- Tenders are being called by the Public Works Department today for repairs to the original wharf at Cape Tormentine. Total cost of the repair project is estimated at saltooo. The wharf under repair is not Part of the carferry terrninals st Tonnantine but the old wharf built before the turn of the cen- tury. It suffered heavy damage from being over-loaded with build- ing materials at the time of con- struction of the ferry terminals and is now unsuitable and hn7.ard- ous for the fishermen of West- morlsnid County who are its chief users. The repair Job was strong- ly recommended to Works Minis- ter Fournier by Lt. Col. E. W. George, Liberal M.P. for West- morland.
