Dorsey who left the Island as Medical Officer with the 105t‘h and was after- wards attached to the Imperial Troops has received an appointment under the British Government as Chief Sur- geon to the leading hospital in Bom- bay, India, with a salary attached of $10,000 per year. This includes resid- ence and transportation over British India. There were forty-.two candida- tes for this position and Dr. Dorsey headed the list, and thus captured this important position. Previous 'to sail- ing to india he was married in London to Miss Lottie Gillham, e. nurse in one of the hospitals where Dr. Dorsey was under treatment having .been gas- scd in the battle of the iSomme.
