On June 8 the monthly C. W. L. meeting of St. Peters’ Sub- division, Seven Mile Bay was held In the parish hall with 35 mem- bers present. Diocesan President, Mrs. Lorne Noonsn, Charlottetown, was the special guest. The meeting opened with the League prayer by the Director, Rev. -Fr. Reginald Mc- Donald. It was decided that the church be cleaned on Tuesday preceding First Communion. It was also de- cided that a message of sympathy he sent the relatives of His Ex- cellency, The late Bishop Boyle. also a high mass for the repose of his soul. The hymn,"Our Lady at Good Council" was beautifully 'endered by Mrs. Alban Keough, assisted on the piano by Miss Florrie Green. The president then introduced Mrs. Noonan, who gave a very in- spiring talk on C. W. L. activities, its benefits and responsibilities. She strongly urged the councillors to enlist the membership of both old and young in their respective districts. to help increase the membership in C. W. L. and to uphold the motto of the League, "For God and Canada". She pre- sented the new president's hand- book. also by-law books and prayer leaflets.
