A Chicago despatch says: “Hats off in
church" is now the motto of women
church-goers at Gross Park, Oak Park
and River Forest, and in many city
churches the new fashion grows. About
three weeks ago, when thehotest weather
Oak Park held an impromptu meeting
for the purpose of considering the question,
“To remove hats or nat toremovehats." It
wasdebated at length, and the result was
that when the pastors looked over
their congregations the next Sabbath

peared to be no complaint, the women*

gmgation" suburb. A week ago the fever
struck River Forest. and at the morn-
ing service there was not one woman

First Presbyterian Church. At Oak Point
