V... .....v..s: Members from all parts of the Prqvince of the Prince Edward Island Life Underwriters held their November meeting in Sum- merslde yesterday afternoon at the I-Iillcrest Lodge. with the president. Mr. Stewart Ives. presiding. In his introductory remarks Mr. Ives welcomed the members and thanked them for their attendance even though the traveling condit- ions and the weather were not all that could be hoped for. President Ives said that the next meeting would be the annual meeting and outlined a number of matters which would be taken up at that time for consideration. The annual meeting this year will be held on December 12th. at the Queen Hotel in Charlottetown. During the business session mat- ters of particular interest to the members were given consideration. it was agreed. on motion. that all members will strictly observe the rules of the highway as laid down by the Safety Council in order to do their part in the pro- motion of the effort to have safe driving. A pensiotil plan, he said, gives not only the employec but the employer as well, a sense of security. It cuts down the transient rate. gives stability to the firm and endows the employees with a sense of responsibility to firm with which. they are associated.
