Although for some yes he had been in ill health and ha undergone surgical operations and despite the best medical care available he was unable to regain his good health health. Regardless of the painful and crippling malady with which he was afflicted. he continued to car- ry on in his chosen occupation, radio and electric supplies, up to a few years ago. Due to his heal- th. he was finally forced to give up his work. "has been well maintained under the supervision of our superintend- ent and the instrictress of nurses, Miss Marguerite Doyle. Sixteen nurses graduated in June of the -5. present year. what this institution has meant to the sick and injured. the suffering. and the poor of the country during the past forty years. cold type can never tell," Mi-. Superintendent's Report Miss Helen Schurman, in the superintendent's report said that today the staff consists of 29 graduates. 19 students. and 10 ward-aids. A she said beds have increased from 74 adult and children to 105 beds. plus 24 bassinets. It has been remarked. she said. that the hos- pital ia "overstuffed." but this is not the case. and every effort has been made to keep the staff. nurs- ing and otherwise, at a minimum. in describing the work within the hospital she said that 20.040 meals were served from February to May inclusive. shegreported that the Ladies Auxiliary of the R.
