Miss Murphy was one of our clev- er and popular schoolteachers hav- ing practiced her profession in her home school, South Shore, and also at Greenfield, from which school she was forced to resign, owing to her illness, on March 19, 1931. Ella, as silo was famliiarly known to her many friends throughout the province, was of 8. kind and cheerful disposition and even dur- ing her great sufferings was never heard to complain, bearing all wil calmness and resignation to the Will of God. She was visited during her long gllor e e .on d, who administered the Last Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, also by Reverend Father Farrell, both of whom brought her great consola- tion for her Journey through the Portals of Death. The deceased leaves to mourn besides her sorrowing parents one sister Lauretta, and one brother, Francis, \vho have the sincere sym- pathy of many friends in their sed bereavement. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held on Friday, April lst, at 10 o’cloclr from the home of her parents to St. Martln's Church, .south Shore, where Requiem High McDonald, who also conducted Rochford, Harold McLean, Ivor May her soul rest in peace.
