104 ROYAL GAZETTE. ‘ aid by virtue of the Act of Twenty-third Victoria, Chapter sixteen, intituled “ An Act relating to the recovery of Small Debts, and to repeal certain Acts therein mentioned,” and of all Acts in addition to or in amendment thereof, as fully to all intents and purposes as if the same had been established under the said recited Acts, or either of them. III. From and after the passing of this Act it shall be lawful for the Lieutenant Governor in Council, from time to time, and at such time or times as he shall deem fit, to remove from cfiice all or any one of the Commissioners of all. or any one or more of the Small Debt Courts in this Island, new or hereafter estab- lished, and to appoint a Commissioner or Com— missioners in the place of him or them so rcmov~ ed,and from time in time to fill up any vacancy or \':r..'n:‘.cies which may at any time or times here- after occur, by reason of death or resignation, in the eflice of any Commissioner or Commission- ers of Small Debts in this Island ; and so soon as a new Commissioner or new Commissioners shall have been so appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, under and by virtue of this Act, the powers and authority of the Com- missioner or Commissioners in whose place or places such new Commissioner or Commissioners shall be appointed shall cease and determine, and such last named Commissioner or Commis- sioners shal l have and exercise the same powers and authority as if appointed unde' and by virtue of the said recited Act of the Twenty~ hird Victoria, Chapter sixteen, or any Act or Acts in amendment thereof. IV. All and every the powers and authorities, provisions, rules, directions, penalties, clauses, matters and things in the said recited Act of the 'I‘wenty-third Victoria, Chapter sixteen, or of any Act or Acts in amendment thereof (ex- cept in so far as the same may be inconsistent with this Act), shall severally relate and ap~ ply to, and be observed, practised and enforced by the said Commissioners to be appointed under this Act, as fully and effectually as if the same powers and authorities, penalties, clauses, matters and things were particularly repeated and re-enacted in the body of this Act, with reference to the said Commissioners.
