An interesting week-end is.coming up at the new apartments at U.P.E.I. as 70 students from all over the Atlantic Provinces, of both sexes, debate the qu- estion of reproduction, both theoretical and appl- ied. That is what is what is happening here this week- end. The Atlantic Provinc- es High School Debating‘ Tournament is being held in P.E.I. this year. The debaters will be staying in the new apartments and the topic theme of the to- urnament will be "Life & Death". Topics under this will be birth control, ze- ro population growth, etc. It should be an interest- ing week-end in spite of the fact that all of the debaters are underage. De-r bates, a Speaker's corner (Hyde Park Stule), a model Parliament, fun times and banquets have been planned and prepared for the last three months. - The part of this that sh- ould be of special intere- st to university students is the fact that Nova Sco- tia is sending six univer— sity debaters to challenge the university debating society on the same topics. We appeal to all people in or interested in debating to get in contact with Fr- ank Likely, Albert.MacDon- ald or Wendy Savee for in- formation and/or propagan- da. We beat Nova Scotia in football, we want to do it in debating! ‘ In any case everyone is welcome to come and watch the high school debates; they should be very inter- esting.
