We learn that No. 1 Company of the 82nd Battalion will match 15 of their crack shots against 15 men of any company in the Prov- ince, the match to take place early in June. As this is one of the foremost companies in this battalion, should the match come off, good shooting may be expected. Ar the Stipendiary Magistrate’s Court, this ferenoon, Patrick Brogan, drunk and in- capable, was fined $2 and costs or 8 days; George Thompson, for the same offence, was fined the same; James Landrigan, charged by Mrs. Alice Croak, with firing off a gun within the city limits, was fined 50 cents and costs. A WALKING MATCH is advertised to take place in Ludlow Hall, Summerside, on Friday evening, between Daniel Innis and George Wangh, for $10 a side.
