Amanda left her home at an early age going to Boston Mass, where she went to work for a wonderful family, remaining with the same people for fourteen years. ‘- She then returned to Bay For- tune and shortly after she marri- ed Joseph Henrry Dinglwell, with whom by deligence and hard gawk they became very success- Her first husband died in Ilbe' early spring of 1946 and in Dec. 9th. she married John M. Mor- row of Howe Bay, who lived with her on the large and well known Dingwell farm where the same prosperity has continued. Amanda Was all through her life blessed with good health be ing a physical strong woman until she met with an acident. On March 10th 1956 she had the misfortune of falling on ice and breaking her hip which necessiat— ed hospitalization. \ She spent 162 days in P. E. 1. Hospital Charlottetown returning to her home Dec. 22nd 1956. We regret to say she never re- had to use crutches. But through it all she was always cheerqu and never complained. was up and around until about four weeks before her death. From that time she gradually failed although she had the best of care by her doctors. She had a stroke from which she finally passed peacefully away. She was attended in her last sickness by her Pastor Rev. W.A. McQuarTie DD and died Nov. 29th, 1958. The large concourse Of people that attended her funeral went to show the esteem in which she was held. Her remains were buried in Bay Fortune United Church Cemetery in the Family Vault. Left to mourn her loss are her husband her nephew Harold and his wife Florence at the old home, who looked after her during her sickness. Also a Neice Dorothy Harold Gammel)» of Arlington Mass. Wyand, took place on Friday, Nov. 14th, 1958 at: his borne in Fredericton, P. E. I. The deceasp ed was born in Maylfield Oct. 3lst 1889, the younger son of the late Charles Wynalrd and his wife Elizabeth Machay. He was an extensive farmer. , and had also mammoth interests «in fur-farming and a mercihantile business‘ . m health necessitated the disposing of these activities, after which he purchased a home for himself and his sister at St. Eleanors, where life was made pleasant by the many warm friendships of this community. He later sold their St. Eleanor: home and moved to Fredericton where they made their home sur- rfigunded by all the comforts of e. In the spring Of 1952 Mr. Wyand became seriously ill, and after a prolonged hospital confinement was brought home, where he was lovingly and tenderly cared for by his sister Miss Ella. In early manhood he identified himself by making a public pro- fession of faith in his Lord and Master, in the Christian Church at New Glasgow, a n d where later he was elected an Elder. This distinction he held through the remainder of his days. memory, one brother William «I Kermberlt, Sask, and two sisters: Mrs. Edison C. Rolling: and Miss Ella Wyand. A sister Miss Ger- trude (a nurse in trailnng) pre- deceased him. ' His funeral service was held In the New Glasgow Christian Church on Sunday afternoon. Nov. 16th. The Service was conducted by his pastor Rev. B. R. Jones B.D., assisted by Rev. P. L. Richardson and Rev. Merle Zim- merman. Favorite hymns were used, the organist w a 3 Mrs. George Dickieson. The floral tributes were beauti- ful. H-is bearers were the Messrs Lewis Toombs. David Johnston. Lloyd Houston. Howard Ling, Aubrey Cultcliffe and Miller Ste- venson.
