On Thursday afternoon a large number of ladies from the sur- rounding districts gathered at the lilargate Church for their annual Womens Missionary Rally. On Tuesday evening June 14 a large number of interested folk from Kensinglon. Malpeque. Free- town and Summerslde assembled in the Baptist Church at Summer- side for the 1955 M. R. E. C. Lea- dcrslilp Training Course. The presi- dent. Mr. Robert Carruthers. pre- sided and the devotional period was conducted by Mrs. Bruce Riley, as- sisted by Mrs. Ernest Bryenton and Mrs. Gerald Lockhart, after which those present were divided into study groups. The main topics were: "The Teacher and. his Task." and "Evangelism In the Church School." A social hour with films followed which was much enjoyed by all. The four men had left Tracadle on Wednesday afternoon and had planned to return on Thursday morning. The "Cygnus". which was tak- ing part in the search. steamed to the rescue and took the fishing boat in tow. The four men on board the boat were Emery Bas- que. Robert Breau.
