Ryery for a Cavcurta, Nov. 13. ; L rel Dufferin, Viceroy of India, has or ‘ ere 1 Gen. Pendergrast, Commander of the Burmese expeditionary force, to invade Burmah forthwith and proceed with ell haste to Caplu, Mandalay. The British forces will now cross the frontier immediately. The Dacoits are robbers, who work in large gangs, and are noted for their bold exploits, having neither baggage nor a com- missariat, ‘These bands travel with mar- veilous speed, and it will be hard for the British troops to catch them, Nov. 13. The British troops will miss at Thayet- mayo, and will thence mske an attack on the Minpla, where the Burmese troops are arriving. Additional reinforcements scent on the frontier have reached the post occupied by Goorkhas, and the force defending the line is reported to have adequa'e means for any emergency likely to arize until the invading division is in complete possession of the rivers in King Thebaw’s territory, The Indian Government prevented the intelligence of decision of the Cabinet to wage war.
