The Well Known Burlington ‘ Farmer Dies The death of Mr. Elijah B['y_ anton occurred at the P. E. Is- land Hospital, Charlottetown on Friday, May 23rd following an illness of six weeks. The late Mr. Bryanton who was in his 78th year lived all his life on the farmat Burlington where he was born. He was highly re- spected in the community, where his integrity, serene temperment and outgoing personality won him many friends. Hall with delegates and members from the following Institutes in attendance: Alma, Mill River, Elmsdalei St. Lawrence, For- tune Cove, Brooklyn, Montrose, Rosebank, Alberton and the Dock." Mrs. C. H. Weeks, president of the hostess branch presided over the afternoon sessions. ._The address of welcome was given by Mrs. Vernon Campbell of Alberton and responded to by Mrs. Chest-er Hayes of the Dock. Reports of the year’s activities were given by each Institute and without excep-tion all showed many wonderful accomplish- ments during the past year. A report on the scholarship fund was given by Mrs. Joseph Callaghan. Guest speaker in the afternoon was Ralph Gaudet, Al- berton High School teacher, who spoke to the convention on the subject “Education” dealing particularly with the relationship between home and school. Mrs. MacMilian brought greet- ings from the Provincial W. I. executive. Miss Gillis of the Provincial W.
