There Is a supply storage room and also a special room for exhibits that the police may have as evidence. The floor of the basement is so constructed with slight graduation and drains that a hose can be used in cleaning same. All the cement in the basement has received the retlautired c"a'a of waterproofing ()8 ii . The ground floor contains the De- tachment office. living quarters for single men of the force stationed here and is made up of three bed- rooms. laundry room and bathroom and showers. each room has a spac- ious closet. and at the end of the hall in these quarters is a large linen closet. The floors are covered with inlaid linoleum. At the rear of this floor is a two garage and workshop- The living quarters for the Cpl. in charge of the J tachment are situated on the second floor. En- trance to this floor may be made from either n outside aide en- trance or from the inside from the first floor. The living quarters con- sists of kitchen with built In cup- boards and counter along one side; set tubs are on the other side of the kitchen. it had as equipment a new refrigerator and electric stove- A dining room. living room. three bedrooms. bathroom and suit- able closets. All the floors in this sec" are of polished hardwood. The bu g has a fire escape at the rear. he electrical wiring was installed by Burke Electric. A gravel driveway runs from the street to the garage and a walk- way extends from the sidewalk to the main entrance. Minutes of the July meeting were read and adopted. Mrs. EJ. MacDonald read the Treasurer's report showing 078.00 having been forwarded to the Presbyterlsl Treasurer. The collection at the July meeting amounted to 83.10. Mrs. MacDonald showed "in Memoriam Certificates" which can be obtained from the treasurer to be sent to the bereaved family of a W.M.S. member instead of a Floral Tribute. Mrs. W.C. Wright reported four boxes of used cloth- ing valued at 8152.50 having been forward to Korea. Postage amount- ed to 88.00. In reporting on the Baby Band Party Mrs. D.A. Sharpe announced one new Life Membership. Members were reminded of a W.M.S. Rally to be held in Char- lottetown on Sept. 20th with Dr. Florence Murray as guest speaker. The stewardship meeting Char- lottetown. on Sept. 27th was also mention. A thank you note from Mrs. Gerald Bruce now of Ham- ilton, Ontario was read. Mrs. W. C. Wright and Mrs. J. Peacock gave brief reports of the Rally which was held in St. Peter's in August. It was moved by Mrs. Matthew and seconded by Mrs. Macltenzle that plans for the Fall Thank- offering Service he left to the members of the Executive. Mrs. Mackenzie invited the members to meet in her home for the October meeting when Fel- lowship will be the word for Roll Call. Mrs. R. C. MacLeaii will have charge of the Study Book. ' Mrs. R. J. Maclfentle introduced the new study Book basing her program on newcomers from the book "Coming Our Way". Various members assisted in presenting the chapter "The Great Trek."
