A de- licious lunch was served by the ladies. - During the past week work on the new Grade XI room has been bwun and is proceeding rapidly. The new room, which is in the basement, is being prepared by Mr. Dan MacDonald and Mr. Ted MacLean. The rocni is very large with three double windows to pro- vide daylight and ventilation. The veiling has been sound proofed so as to prevent any noise from entering the room from the Grade X room above. Further lighting is provided by six flourescent lights attached to the ceiling which is covered with Gyprnc. The walls are boarded and insulated, and painted white so as to give a brighter rocm. Over the two new' blackborirds, a reflector light has been placed so as to give a clearer light on the boards. 1n short overythirrgWa being dune to make the room as comfortable as pol- stble for the students. Heating will be provided by ceiling red- lmhors, thereby giving an even heat over the whole room. An added convenience is the proxim- ity of the chemistry labratory which la also located in the base- ment.
