Harland Friday. An unusually sad event took placo at Garfield, Belfast. on the 7th lust.. when Belle, the beloved wife of John F. McDonald was called to her eternal home. The community was perhaps never so deeply moved as on that occasion. for her removal made a happy home desolate. It meant a., loss to the place that will never be repaired. The deceased was indeed a woman of rare beauty of character. This fact found good expression in the words of her devoted mother-lin law, "I ani afraid of her case because she is too good to live.” We have met hut a small nuiiiber of people in our day who had the same power of brightening all about her. Hers was a shining lifo no matter whcro you niet her. it was a glow that you felt emanated from a warm loving Christian heart. The influence of her example will never die. The de- ceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Martin, of Grand View, und leaves a family of three children, li husband and many friends to inouru her death.
