S. Hinton in Sum- merside this week. According to the evidence sub- mitted three members of Borden detachment, RCMP. had a motor boat under observation from a point on the shore near the resi- tlcnce of Captain Read. When it zipproached Borden pier two of the officers proceeded there in their patrol car while the other kept the party under observation. When the officers reached the pier they noticed two men walk- ing up each carrying a wooden ‘oox marked dynamite. When they saw the officers they threw the lioxes overboard but unfortunately they floated. One of placed the men under arrest and ordered them to get in the car while the other officer retrieved the boxes. - At this point the men made a. dash up the wharf pursued by an officer who overtook one of them and after a scuffle placed him in custody. The other man was arrested next morning. '1‘he_inci- dent was observed by a large number of people awaiting the ferry as it happened early in the evening.
