The death occurred at P.C. Hos- pital on May 15th., of Antoine Gallant of Mount Carmal at the age of 81 years. He was employed for many years on Government boats and also,for ‘25 years on the borden Car ferry retiring 15 years ago. His wife predeceased him 5 years ago. Surviving him are four sons and one daughter: (Mary) Mrs. Carl Church; Ed- ward of Cornwall P.E.I.; Simon in Summerside; George and Al- vin on the homestead. Two sisters (Mary Ann) Mrs. David Goupu- ti, Ipswich, Mass; and (Jacque- line) Mrs. Cyris Gallant, Ban- gor, Maine; and a brother And- rew of Mont Carmel. Funeral was held to Mont Carmel Church for Requiem Mass, celebrated by Rev. Buoti Pallbearers were: Gerard Gallant, Ulric Poirier, Sy- lvain Gallant and Anthony Ber- nard.
