Evidence was given of the general reputation and previous good behav- iour of these boys. and Mr. McCallum requested that the court would consider ‘suspending the sentence, especially in the.case of the younger lad, who was barely over sixteen years of age. This is llastartide and the many window decorators ' are vleing with one mother in dressing up for Easter. One of the outstanding Easter window dscorations is that of the MacKinnon Drug Company. Year af- ter year this well known firm has showed taste and skill in window dressing, but this season the effort is even better. V The window, which is attracting more than ordinary attention from plssers-by. is done in the purple and white color scheme for background and hangings. In the centre, dainty and tastefully decorated appears a large Easter egg behind which s. huge heart with gold letters "Easter Greet- ings" mounted by miniature chicks sets oft the egg at the base most beautifully. On the right side of the window a little tot driving several fluffy brown chicks may be seen while to the left a white bunny rab- bit is leon doing the same work. _ ' In order to get the right lighting a' shaded blue light is focused down- ' ward and this blended with the other lights in the window gives the deslr-_ ed effect. , ' The _interior of the store is also splendidly arranged showing s splen- did line of Easter novelties and up- to-date chocolates.
