Ont., July 14-21. , The local unit had the largest number of any unit in the Camp at- which Medical Corps units from all parts of Canada attend- ed. The main feature of the train- ing was a two day exercise in the field. This consisted of evacu- ation of token casulties who had very realistic simulated wounds. Aircraft from the nearby RCA! aase aided in bringing realism to he exercise by attacking front ine positions and 'bombing" the nstallatluns which were not pro- aerly camouflaged. Artificial bat- tle sounds also added to the real- Istic part of the training. A Mess Dinner for the Officers was held on Thursday. July 19th and was attended by 304 officers. Among the high ranking guests was the Director General of Med- ical Services for the U.S. Army, Brigadier-General Keefer and members of his staff. On the final day of Camp the local unit participated in what was stated to be the largest turn-out of Medical Corps Militia personnel in the country's history. This con- spection by Brigadier Shier. the Director General of.M.edical Ser- vices for the Canadian Army.
