went out oi the potatoe market in the
spring a numiher of starch factories
were opened on the Isl-and at the re-

to use up the surpuls stock. Some at
least oi' these factories are still open
and buylnig potatoes at market -prices.
These can operate only during- the
comparatively cool spring weather
and may close at any time. Farniers
are strongly urged to avail themselves
ot' this miarket, n.ow the only one in
sight, before their- potatoes bei-oine
unsaleable, as there 'is no present pro-
spect' oi a better niarket.
