The regular monthly meeting of the Junior Ladies Aid of thel prince Edward Island Hospital was held Monday, April 21, 19'! at the Cundall Home for nurses with the vice-president, Mrs. H. L. Sear, Jr. presiding. The meet- ing opened with the Lord’s Prayer repeated in unison, after which the minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. Mrs. Douglas Hill presented a most gratlfylng report of the an- nual fashion show which was held ‘recently at the Queen Charlotte High School. The meting opened with the president Mrs. Ralph Thompson in the chair. Mary Stewart collect was repeated in unison. Minutes of last meeting were read, approved, and signed. Roll call was responded to by five members. Corrospondence was read and discussed, It was moved by Mrs. Duncan McIntosh and Seconded by Mrs. Elijah Rayner to send $1 to C.A.C. also to send 25 cents to have five names of deceased members inscribed in the book of Remembrance. A bill of 50 cents was paid for paper towels. Collection 45 cents, cards $400 Mrs. Ralph Thompson kindly invited the members for next meeting. Lists or articles ordered from Fair~ fields was written. Meeting ad-4 journed. Lunch was served by hostess asisted by Mrs. McIntosh and Mrs. Rayner. A social hour was spent. There are twenty-four in the class, twenty-three nurses and one X-ray technician. After the turkey dinner the young nurses gathered around the piano and sang. Miss Helen Marie Mccormack of Souris was the accompanist. The beautiful tone of her playing, the lovely voices of the girls and the var- iety of modern and old singsong pieces was indeed a pleasure to the listeners and participents. The president of the graduation class is Miss Bernadette Gilllis of St. Peter’s. Prince Edward Is- land. Dr. Ian C. MacDonald, D.D.S., Mrs. MacDonald and two young sons, who have been visiting Dr. MacD=onald’.s mother, Mrs. Leo J. MacDonald, Weymouth St., and his brothers in Mermaid, and Charolttetown returned to Kent- ville, N.S. on Wednesday.
