Appearing on the album are three well- known songs, "Hang on Snoopy" "Still Alive and Well" and Rufus Thomas' "Walking the Dog". Also appearing are 7 some well-known personalit— ies such as Johnny and Edgar Winter, Don Hartman, and Chuck Corea. _ Side One: "Gimme More" ‘begins the album with Der— ringer doing some fine gui— tar work. The style of the song shows that he has res- pect for the writing abili- ties of Edgar and Johnny Winter. "Don't Ever say Géod—bye" shows 100% Derrin— ger style. It's a semi-sent- imental song — the style Derringer writes best. Der-‘ ringer has finally decided to record "Still Alive and well" after just about every- body/else in the recording industry has had it publish— ed. This version is very different from that of Johnny Winter. Chuck Corea adds his magical mind and fingers to "Rock", another fine crea— tion of Derringer. Corea's Moogs add the whipped cream and Cherry to Derringer's_ tasteful guitar work. North does have a line of play which works for any distribution in the minor suits. The solution! North plays the hand in this fashion. After taking the ace of hearts, he takes the kings in both the minor ‘ suits. Both East and West follow suit so north can't take a marked finesse. Therefore he takes the king of hearts and sluffs a dia- mond or a club in the north hand. North then takes his four spades in dummy, sluff— ing the opposite suit to his original sluff. At this point, west has come down to six cards, three to the jack in each minor suit, and must sluff‘ away the protection for one of his jacks. As soon as North sees a club or a dia—. mond come out, it is a simp— ,matter to.take his tricks in such a manner that he ends up in the hand/with _ the small card in that suit.
