They left the house to- gether in the car, MacKinnon driv- ing. and went up Water str'"!t m-i ward the Victoria Hotel. Witness didn't know where they got the iliquor. MiicKinnon was wearing a [gray cop and gray suit. Mrs. Clin- ton knew they had been drinking as they were staggering. but she didn't see them drinking. Her hus- ibiind had been away since three .‘o'clock that morning. Mr. Fred Welsh (Sworn) testified that he worked at Acorn’: Taxi and new Archie MiicKinnon. Received As this completed the evidence. the jury retired to consider their verdict. They adjourned at 6.30 p. m. and resumed at 8 p. ill. The verdict was to the effect that tiie deceased had met his death from injuries received through being struck by a car driven by a young man wearing a light colored cap and suit, and that the car. seized by the police resembles the one which inflicted the injuries. They recommended that Euston street be made a through streehand that "stop" signs to bring the vehic- ics to a halt be placed at the cor- ners of the streets leading into it. They also recommend " that strin- gcst measures be taken to deal with intoxicated drivers. The trade in spring, winter wheat grades of flour was of l. lim- ited character but prices were firm.
