VESSEY The community of York and sur- rounding districts were greatly saddened by the death of Mrs. Mil- ton F. Vessey on the evening of October 9, aged '11 years at the P E. 1. Hospital. The faithful visits of her pastor and his wife, and the many acts of kindness by re- latives and friends were a. source of joy and comfort to her as was also the home-coming of her grand-daughter, Norms. to be with her in her last hours. Her loss to this community is great indeed as she was a we- man of outstanding Christian Life and unswervlng loyalty to her savior and her church. She was of a quiet unassuming manner, never known to complain, a loyal and sympathetic neighbor, always charitable and kind to everyone, and above 'all a loving wife and mother. Her loss in the home will be most keenly felt. Converted and received into the Methodist Church (now United) in young womanhood, Mrs. Vessey has always stood foursquare for Community and comfort her sor- rowing and bereaved family. She was the daughter of the late Ben- jamin Gill, Pleasant Grove and his wife, Elizabeth Wares. The deceas- ed members of this family were Nelson who lost his life in the War-of I914-18 after four years service. Alma, (Mrs. John Gralnger, Sydney, N. S.) who pre- fl deceased her two years ago and twins who died in infancy- On Dec. 20th., 1905 she married Milton Vessey of York. and their happy married life was blessed with three children: Florence, (Mrs. Harry Lewis), Frank, and Richard nil of York who with their father now mourn the lossla of their kind, good and loyal wife and mother,; also twelve grand- children: Helen. Norma R. N., Aneita, (Mrs. Mnlcolm Allan). Ber- nice, (Mrs. Douglas Moore), Laken. Frankie, Marjorie and Marilyn Lewis, Nelson, Beryl, Florence and Dwight Vesscy and one great- grandchild, Norma Gail Moore. She was 8. life member ,of the. W. M. S., member of W. C. T.
